Poor people should not be suppressed and given different rules just because its easy to push them around.

If I am not entitled to laws that government my home and lease, then why would a person that spends the night here given more rights over me?

I think #FortLauderdale attitude towards the non-wealthy is wrong, cruel, and not acceptable in this nation. If you are going to create rules and regulation, you should not be creating a class system. Those that live here and those that visit.

I can assure you, I dont want strangers walking into my home. That is kind of awkward. But, I can not possibly get another job. It's not possible. I dont have the time in the day to do so. @Airbnb provided me the freedom to study and time management so I could work 2 other jobs.

I am being told that the city is hiring private investigators to pretend to be visitors so they can gain access into homes. Is that true? So sad that we have a huge #sextradeslave issue but we are going to spend money to "hunt down" people trying to pay their rent.

There has never once been an issue at my house. I live there. Before @Airbnb the police were called several times due to roommates. With @Airbnb I had the ability to not only pay some of my rent and finish school, but I could use the account as a down payment for a home

I think its cruel. I think it is extremely cruel that the city would go after individuals, set up expectations that only help investors and force us out of the city. I was born down the road and I am pushed out to protect the #hotels and keep them paying off politicians

I was lucky. I could work 3 jobs. My own business, Massage Envy, and @Airbnb November 2017 was the first time that I could pay my bills without extracting from my RothIRA that I set up in 2007. In December I get a demand to appear in court because I used @Airbnb

But that does not really matter. Today, I am poor so I dont get any options. #FortLauderdale passed a law and arrested individuals for feeding the poor. We have parks where working men and woman live because they can not afford housing.

My landlord will not give permission to update the fire system - which I guess is only a way to prevent people like me from being able to use Airbnb. It does not matter my landlord owns 22 homes and lives in another country. He is going to raise the rent +300 on the next renter.

I am locked in a lease that I can not break and if I do, I can not afford to defend my self and we know that legal aid will not even lift a finger. (My land landlord tried to hit me when I complained about the insane roaches and water leaking from there roof). #Justicefortherich

Now, the city has changed all of the rules and created a second class citizen. The people that live here have less rights then visitors. You do not inspect my rental for safety. You do not care if there is a fire system, access to phone lines, parking directions. T

By a gift of God, someone told me about @Airbnb it was a safe alternative to cops being called on roommates. So I tried it. I did not make money off of it. I only made what my roommates were paying. No profits, but security to finish school and keep my business open.

I almost could not graduate my last year because a false report from a lawyer that purchased one of my student loans and then reported me in default. The FED's are taking care of him.... but I lost my loans my last year after spending 13 years in college.

I dont know why the city makes it so hard for people to survive. I have seen my rents rocket. I have see housing become impossible. Any support for housing is closed off for the next 3 years. I went through 6 roommates last year and way too many drugs & drama.

I have been working 3 jobs while finishing my doctoral degree. I am 1 test away from my new license (I suspect that will be about 2 months). Instead of success, I am forced to move out of the state.

I am closing my company and 4 other woman will be forced to close their business as well. With only a few months away from changing my profession and having insurance billing capabilities, my 5 year old business is being closed
